Project File

When Video Studio is launched for the first time, the START button is the only one active (yellow).

You need to create a 'project' file first. A
project file is a small file used by Allied VideoStudio to store all of the information about your movie. It does not contain the video files but contains information about the videos, sounds, effects and all your settings.

Do not confuse the project with the video clips. A single project may use several video clips.

Project files are unique to Videostudio & cannot be used or opened in any other software. They have the extension .vsp (much like the .psd file in photoshop)

Video clips on the other hand can be opened in a wide variety of software. They have filename extensions like .avi, .mov, .mpg.
