Time to practice the skills presented in the Effects and Tools section.

For this practice exercise you will:

  • open an existing file
  • fade portions of the sound file
  • add reverb effects to the sound file

1. Open the wav file titled "Lessons 10 thru 12" located on the "H" drive in the student shares folder titled "Sound Forge Practice".

2. Add the fade in process to the given sound file at the beginning of the song.

3.
Add the fade out process to the given sound file at the end of the song.

4.
Add some of the options in the Reverb effect to the sound file. Do this between the twenty (20) and forty (40) second mark.

5. Submit your practice files.

Make a new folder and place the practice assignment and your new sound file you created ("fade_sound") inside the new folder with the name of the folder being your last name.

Please place the new folder you just created with the two sound files in it into the folder titled "Finished Sound Forge Practice Lessons 10-12 " (which is found on the student shares in the multimedia productions).

I hope you enjoyed the Sound Forge tutorial lessons 10-12. If you have any questions about the the lessons please email me at: ajdesiderio@aol.com
