What are |
Powerpoint
gives you the ability to add sound effects to your presentation in several
ways. You can have sounds effects when transitioning from slide to slide;
sound effects can accompany animated bulleted points; and sound can
be incorporated as an icon on a slide. |
||||
|
How do I |
To add a sound to the transition between one slide and the next, pull down the Slide Show menu and choose Slide Transition. Select a sound from the Sound pop-up menu. (For detailed instructions, see the Transitions lesson.) |

How
do I |
To add a sound to the animated appearance of a bulleted point, pull down the Slide Show menu and choose Preset Animation or Custom Animation. (For detailed instructions, see the Animated Bullets and Custom Animation lessons.) |
||||
|
How do I |
To add sound to a slide, pull down the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds, and click either Record Sound or Sound from File. (For detailed instructions, see the Importing Sound and Recording Sound lessons.) | ||||
| TIP: Used judiciously, sounds can give your presentation a more polished and professional feel. However, using a large number of random sounds within a presentation can be extremely distracting. Sound is best used when it contributes to the message in some way. |
