The Department of Instructional Technology offers three programs, based on the needs of the individual.View specific course requirements.
Master of Science in Instructional Technology
The MSIT Corporate Concentration is for those who wish to enter a career in the training and development sector of business, industry, non-profit institutions, or government. The curriculum concentrates on the design and development of interactive multimedia training. This program is now offered online as well as in a traditional campus format.
Instructional Technology Specialist Concentration
The MSIT Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) concentration is designed for professionals charged with integrating interactive technologies into educational teaching environments. This program is ideal for individuals such as technology specialists, instructional technologists, curriculum developers, and media specialists. This program may be completed either on-campus or online.
In addition to having a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology, graduates from the program, with the appropriate selection of electives and passing PRAXIS scores, are also granted Instructional Technology Specialist Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
eLearning Developers Certificate
The eLearning Developer Certificate is designed for professionals charged with integrating interactive online technologies into both educational and professional training environments. This program is ideal for individuals such as training specialists, instructional technologists, managers of training, curriculum developers, staff development personnel, and media specialists.
