The Technical Leadership program provides a pathway for graduates of technical Associate degree programs to earn a baccalaureate degree while mastering the leadership and supervisory competencies needed to assume lead roles in project teams and technical workgroups. Students build on the technical foundation provided by their Associate degrees with coursework providing competencies in areas such as communication, collaboration, workplace diversity, leading face-to- face and virtual teams, project management, financial accounting, conflict resolution, staff training and intercultural communications.
Upon completion of their Associate degree, students in the Technical Leadership program are accepted as transfer students into Bloomsburg University. The faculty and staff of Bloomsburg University and the affiliated Community Colleges work together to provide an integrated plan of support services. Students complete all university and course requirements at the community college campus and online and are not asked to come to the Bloomsburg University main campus for orientations, class sessions, project team meetings, presentations or tests.
Currently the BAS-TL program is offered in cooperation between Bloomsburg University and the following community colleges: Lehigh Carbon Community College, Reading Area Community College, Harrisburg Area Community College, Northampton Community College.
