Lesson Overview

This week we will talk about writing test items. Each objective that you have written will also have a corresponding test item. Some of your test items will measure what a person knows, and other test items will measure what a person can do.

Once you have your performance objective written, you will then write an appropriate test item for the objective. You will find that some of your test items may be constructed response or objective response items, while others may be in the form of checklists or rubrics.

Your test items are due March 24th.

Application Activity

I have a practice activity you may work through. There are several tasks and objectives listed, and you create an appropriate test item.

Once you have completed the exercise, let me know and I'll send you the answer key.

Lesson Assignments

This next part of your overall project is to write good test items for each objective.

Continue to use the 4 column chart you have been working with, and add your test items in the fourth column, each one next to the objective you are measuring.

You may use this Test Item Checklist to make sure you include everything in your proposal.
