Welcome to the Intellectual Property Training Course.
An idea is often the starting point for an improvement or invention. Unless it is protected and supported, however, the idea may fail to develop and evolve to a level that makes a significant difference.
Creative ideas are often referred to as intellectual property; and knowledge and technology transfer is the process that provides the expertise, time, effort and money necessary to change these ideas into meaningful and practical innovations.
The training course can help you:
- Identify the benefits of knowledge and technology transfer
- Recognize the ways that intellectual property is protected
- Recognize the steps and methods involved in the knowledge and technology transfer process
- Match the tools used to protect your ideas with the type of idea
- Recognize ways that your ideas could be unintentionally disclosed
- Identify which ideas should be disclosed and when to do so
- Determine the steps to take when disclosing your idea in a protected manner
- Recognize the actions that are taken once your idea enters the knowledge and technology transfer process
